We all have been on a cross with an mountain bike. If you ever have ride some mountain terrain with such a bike you know how hard it is.

Markus Stöckl, Max for friends, is a man that does it slightly different than others.
Max likes to cycle off of hills, and fast too! RedBull is the perfect candidate to cheer you, creators of the hyperactive energy drink are indeed a perfect team of extreme sports.

So it seemed like for Max to break the record for the fastest ride off a mountain.
This is called ‘Downhill Speed Record‘ on a mountain bike. Max set the world record somewhere in the Atacama Desert in Chile on his bike without training wheels and did not really even need to paddle to break the record. This madman tore off the awesome speed of 167 km per hour on the hill and so he broke the previous record which stood for 20 years!
