What was the cop thinking when he saw a Google car driving too slow? This happend in Mountain View, California, when the cop noticed something strange on the road.
Nothing really happend when the situation occurred but it caused awareness whether the cars, in their current form, are too cautious.
Google+ made a good joke about it by posting this: “Bet humans don’t get pulled over for that too often”.
Motor Vehicles described a Google automated car as “over-cautious”. And should be not on the road yet!
It happend Thursday, when the car drove too slow, driving 24mph on a 35mph zone and traffic was blackened behind it.
“The officer stopped the car and made contact with the operators to learn more about how it was choosing speeds along certain roadways and to educate the operators about impeding traffic.”
The only problem was, there was no driver and so there was no one to ticket. There was however a passenger who spoke with the officer.
The company says it caps the car’s speed 25mph for safety reasons. Google still bragging about it that the car can be the future transportation method in a couple of years. Matter fact, they build their own town to test the vehicles on different situations. The so called M-city features, store fronts, traffic lights and other real world infrastructure. But no one actually lives there.
GM and Tesla among the other automakers, testing driving-less technology. Let’s wait till this become a huge normal way of life.
Everyone, let’s get lazy and risk our lives to technology! What would you do? Do you prefer your atomatic car, or a manual shift gear? Drop your comments below!
